An interesting Florida Billboard advertising: Vaginal Rejuvenation
I’ll just leave it there.
Jill & I were walking in Fort De Soto State Park…an old military fort. We had walked up to the top of the viewpoint & just headed down a big flight of stairs. A man was walking up carrying a wheelchair to the top, then he turned to walk back down near the bottom of the stairs. A little boy, about 5 or 6 with a brace on his leg, was slowly trying to walk up the stairs, his mother behind him & his sister ahead of him. The stairway was very steep & tall. The man started to reach for the boy who quickly said, “Daddy don’t help me, I can do it all by myself”. Such a brave determined little boy. The father tried to help once again, but the boy was adamant he take the climb by himself. Both Jill & I had tears in our eyes. Such a humbling scene to witness. So much to learn from this wonderful little boy.
I spotted this truck camper at the Davis Bayou campground. I’ve been researching truck campers & love this one. It’s called a Tiger & I’ve never seen one before in person…I think this is an older model. It was super fun to see it! (I’m a travel-geek for sure!)
Cats & Raccoons were everywhere in Fort De Soto State Park. I think Jill was pretty nervous about the raccoons the first night, but quickly got used to them. I just wonder how the cats & coons get along with each other?
Artwork spotted in a brewpub Danny & I went to in Orlando. Those are pencils! #lovecreativity
Jill & I were on the beach at Anna Maria Island one evening waiting for the sun to set & two French couples, about our age, we sitting just to the side & front of us. We could hear their wonderful smooth & lovely conversation in French as they were also enjoying the beach. The were ‘sneaking’ wine (it was a no alcohol beach) in glass tumblers (no glass on the beach) & giggling about it. Above them was a colorful umbrella which swayed more violently as the wind picked up. A moment later, the umbrella took off down the beach about 40’. One of the men of the group had been taking photos of the beach, but now turned on his video & aimed it at one of the women as she took off, with wine glass in hand, chasing the umbrella (he was making no attempt to help her). She made the grab & walked back in front of us in victory. As she passed, we were smiling & saying “great job!” & she paused with umbrella in one hand, a raised her wine glass in the other & said (in a wonderful French accent) “And I saved my wine!” We all laughed... It was a fun moment!
I thought this was something’s brain about the size of a dinner plate…turns out it’s a jellyfish. eeewww!
I have been to a whole lot of breweries. Up until now, there was only one other whose bathroom I thought was really cool…it’s still in first ‘brewery bathroom’ place (it’s Left Hand in Longmont, CO. If you ever get there, check out the women’s bathroom…sooooo cool!)
But the sinks, made from old kegs, was pretty cool at the Prairie Artisan brewpub in Tulsa, OK
Screen Shots & Signs:
I got to try out my new fairy lights in camper every night & I LOVE THEM!
My time with Jill was so fun…no hiking, but loved our time on the beach, watching the sun set, going in & out of the little shops & loved our long conversations. This trip was a lot about her new little travel trailer & her learning the ropes of towing, repairing, & everything RV. It was fun to be part of this & especially seeing her learn quickly & so excited that something she’s wanted so badly, is now part of her life.
My two weeks with Sara, Kevin, Claire & Emma were so perfect. Our new little girl in the family is sweet & precious & it was love at first sight. Claire is learning so fast, her conversations astound me, & she makes my heart & head burst with joy. It was so great to spend time with Sara too…she is so busy with a demanding job, but she was on maternity leave, which gave us time to spend together & just have simple ordinary conversations…but they meant so much to me. Those of you that have your kids close, probably don’t think anything about conversations with them about recipes, make up, clothes, books, etc. Those conversations don’t happen too often when your kids live far away. I treasured every single one of them with Sara…I miss her so much. (eye leakage)
I’m already planning my next trip, & the one after that, & hopeful there’s another one after that. I used to believe I’d been bit by the travel bug, but not anymore. I think every cell in my body has been invaded by it!
Check back mid April…Jill & I will be back on the road again. Part of the trip will include a group of Glampers…it should be a hoot!
